Bentley is to reveal the new Continental GT Speed, at an event next Tuesday.
First launched 2002, the new fourth generation Continental GT will have over 770bhp and will be the most powerful Bentley ever – some. Alongside this, the GT Speed will be the first in over 100 years to feature a plug-in option.
This means the car will be capable of 50 miles of electric running and a claimed 50g/km of carbon emissions – these are in WLTP conditions.
The Continental GT Speed will be Bentley’s first hybrid and be based on the new Ultra Performance Hybrid Powertrain. Features include active all-wheel drive with torque vectoring, four-wheel steering and a 48v electric anti-roll control, making it the most dynamic Bentley to date.
A new design and heaps of technology are expected to define this car as a modern-day Bentley and continue to tradition.
The news doesn’t stop there, as the new Continental has claimed an unofficial ‘underwater speed record’ by reaching 208mph in a subsea tunnel in Norway.
More details are expected over the next week, so keep an eye on our socials for more information.
