A Car Fit For Social Media? Meet the INSTER…

Hyundai has revealed the all-new INSTER, which will be available later this year, push 221 miles of electric range – and an estimated £22,000 price tag.

INSTER is based on Korea-only CASPER

Based on the Korea-only CASPER, the design of the new entry-level car will be in urban SUV and offer masses of interior space.

At the front, the INSTER has LED daytime running lights and a ‘pixel-graphic’ indicators, taillights, and bumpers.

It is on the inside where the ‘INSTER-grammable’ stuff happens. The positioning of the model between segments, means the INSTER can carry both passengers and luggage in equal parts, with all seats having the ability to folded flat or the rear seats can either recline or slide, depending on your preference. Up to 280-litres of space is on offer, with 351-litres maximum.

Technology is what is to be expected of EVs these days, with a 10.25-inch screen behind the steering wheel and a touchscreen measuring the same for the infotainment.

Two-tone cloth trim is available with Black, Khaki Brown and Newtro Beige.

The Dacia Spring rival is expected to offer 221 miles in ‘long range’ spec from its 49kWh battery. A smaller 42kWh battery is expected to be offered alongside this, with an average of 180 miles. Both models will have power outputs of 96bhp and 113bhp, respectively.

Interior will divide

Up to 120kW DC is offered which means a 10-80 per cent charge in half an hour. An 11kW on-board charger is standard, alongside heat pump and battery heating system.

Vehicle-to-load is also on offer – which means you can power a toaster!

Safety tech is also on offer in spade loads with Lane Keep Assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance and Highway Driving Assist, to name a few.
